Mods Please Sticky this. This thread will be a compatibility chart for the different factory brakes that work on the E89. As many of us know trying to use the search function on this topic gets varied results. It differs slightly from Pbondars list and this also includes the rear axle which is quite important. Supersprint has a Performance exhaust system available for the 2006-2008 BMW Z4 Roadster / Z4 Coupรจ 3.0si, equipped with the later generation N52 6 cyl. engine. The stainless, long primary tubular headers is the main component of the entire exhaust. Fast forward to today. The new E89 Z4 has already been acknowledge by some as one of the greatest designs BMW has offered; the car has an overall aggressive look but at the same time it is beautiful. The new Z4 features the first 20 second automatic folding aluminum hardtop on a production BMW model. I've measured mine using the BMW method of measuring ("attach measure to rim flange at bottom middle and measure to lower edge of wheel arch.") Z4 3.0i SE (2004) on Sport suspension and 18"s: Front = 601mm Rear = 598mm (front matches BMW's official figures but back is 10mm higher but within tolerances) Z4 3.0i SE (2004) on Eibach Pro springs The E89's fuel usage in normal use is much better than the E86 though. A much cheaper car to live with - a difference I'd expect on the 28i too. The E89 is also a much more refined cabin than the E86 and is much easier to drive (not that the E86 is any way hard), but, the E89 is an unforgivingly hard crashy ride on 19" RFTs. Both cars can have roof issues. As for driving the E89 is more refined feels slightly heavier, so makes it feel more of a GT than out right sports car. The E85 feels lighter to drive and a bit sharper so has a more sportier feel. Both great cars, the E89 feels more modern, although the E85 in my opinion has aged well. auh3F.
